PRINT / COMPARE / TROUBLESHOOT
How we test
Engineering preview: usable draft patterns, not a physically validated release. See validation limits.
What the code checks
Shared vector geometry generates native Letter and A4 files. Automated tests exercise input validation, every P0 diagnosis combination, every maintenance input combination, page boxes, grid positions and ruler geometry. The repository contains reproducible tests; a browser preview is not a physical print.
What is not certified
Four-printer samples, two-printer ruler measurements, four-week maintenance observations, authorized fault photographs, printer/paper color-profile verification and the full browser/device matrix remain open release gates. No successful physical test is claimed.
The versioned manifest records page counts, dimensions, file hashes, embedded fonts, source color spaces, draft status and estimated coverage. Coverage is a four-channel proxy from the PDF rendered at 144 dpi using the bundled sRGB profile and mathematical full-black extraction. The mean C+M+Y+K is divided by four: low at most 5%, medium at most 15%, high above 15%. Text and QR are included. These are comparison bands, not physical ink consumption. RGB PDFs embed an sRGB source profile; native CMYK retains DeviceCMYK pending a device-specific output profile. Production QR generation requires a configured HTTPS domain.
