Label Printer Test

Engineering preview: usable draft patterns, not a physically validated release. See validation limits.

Experimental P2 preview. Demand validation and physical printer acceptance are pending.

Choose the matching custom media in the printer driver, print at 100% / Actual size, and turn off browser headers/footers. A file cannot set or detect your hardware media automatically.

Choose a native label size

The Code 39 barcode contains TEST1. It is a scanner comparison only, not a shipping or product label. Scan results depend on the device and printing quality.

Copy a ZPL test sample

ZPL uses a separate Code 128 TEST1 sample. Choose the actual printer resolution before copying. This browser never sends commands to a device; do not use ZPL unless the exact model supports it.

Choose a resolution to prepare the test sample.

Media and calibration checks

  1. Identify the exact model, supported label size and whether the roll uses gaps, black marks or continuous media.
  2. Load the roll and select its media/sensor type using that model’s official instructions.
  3. Use only the model’s documented calibration procedure, then compare a test at actual size. Stop for a jam, repeated feed error or unsafe condition.
Zebra model support

Find the exact model’s media and calibration guide. A support portal link is not a verified calibration sequence.

Rollo model support

Check the exact printer, compatible stock and label settings in official support. No universal button-hold sequence is provided.

DYMO model support

Check the exact LabelWriter model and compatible label stock/software. Do not assume that it accepts ZPL or another brand’s roll.

Before you print again

Does requesting a print mean it printed?

No. The browser can request a dialog, but cannot tell whether you cancelled, sent the job or received paper. Check the preview and the physical result.

Why are there two paper sizes?

Each PDF has a native Letter or A4 page box. Choose the same size in the printer dialog, use Actual size / 100%, and disable headers, footers and Fit to page.

Can this sheet diagnose my printer?

It is a comparison aid. A generic sheet cannot identify a failed part, measure ink remaining, certify colors or replace the manufacturer's model-specific checks.
